The Hansen Company began construction on the Johnston Town Center in October of 2019. Since then, development has focused on sitework and infrastructure. City hall construction is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2020.

Town center grounds are designed to accommodate a variety of uses including municipal, commercial, and recreational. Its walkable design includes open architectural components, outdoor gathering areas, and wide footpaths. Committees are currently discussing public art options that will contribute to the site’s beauty and sense of historical identity.
